Holiday Cheer im Spielzimmer

With our girls getting older {they are almost 4 #growinguptoofast #wipingmytears}, I really wanted to add some holiday cheer to their playroom this year.  But I wanted to do it in a durable, kid friendly way {i.e., I didn’t want a real tree} and in a budget friendly way.  I am SO EXCITED about the solution that I found.  Best of all, my girls love it.  Take a look 🙂

I started by hanging the adorable Advent calendar that a good friend of mine made for Attley and Avery on the chalkboard wall in the playroom.  It looks SO CUTE, but I wanted to add something lower, where my girls could easily reach it AND play with it.

I had heard of this cool new decorative wall product from Wallternatives™ and decided to check out the selection.  I was super excited to see that there were some holiday options and I quickly chose this awesome Tree Ornaments Removable Christmas Wall Decal Set.

Coolest thing ever! WallPrints™ Fabric Decals are printed on a premium polyester fabric backed with a REPOSITIONABLE adhesive. You just peel and stick them to any smooth surface. It took me a whopping 10 minutes to complete this project 🙂  This is what it looks like out of the package.

You really, truly just peel the decals off and stick them on.  And if you make a mistake?  NO worries.  You peel them off, reposition them and stick them on again.  That means your kiddos can peel the ornaments off and move them around OVER AND OVER AGAIN.  Hours of holiday entertainment 🙂  Plus, the get a jump start on mastering Christmas decorating at a very early age.  #itsnevertooearlytostart

I have to admit, I had fun decorating this tree while my girls were napping.  I styled mine a bit differently than the photo on the website {had to add my own twist, right?}.  I decided to kind of “camouflage” the outlet by just placing the decals right over it.

Attley and Avery were DELIGHTED when the wandered into their playroom after their nap.  And they have had so much fun “decorating” their very own tree time and time again.  Best of all, we will be able to use it year after year.  I saved the roll that it came on and will just peel them off and place them right back on when we are done with it.  Then I will roll it back up to store it for the year.  Easy, peasy.

You can check out more details of the girls’ playroom here and learn about the rug I recently PAINTED for their playroom right here.

Do you decorate your kid’s room or play area for Christmas?  What is your favorite kid-friendly Christmas decor?

Wallternatives™ provided me with free product to facilitate this post.  I was not paid for this review and the opinions expressed, as always, are 100% my own!
